Minimum Fee Rates
For a single man and van that has assistance to load and unload at the pick up and drop off sites the minimum charge is from £30.00.
This will increase with the size of the items and distance involved.
If a van and 2 x porters are required the minimum charge is £45.00.
This will increase with the size of the items and distance involved.
The minimum cost of long distance removal services is calculated upon the time required to travel between the designated pickup point to the final destination.
QUOTES
We reserve the right to amend a quoted price or Fixed price if the task or circumstances on the move lead to an increase in time, mileage, or extra cost. For example if we turn up to a job and the customer has not told us that there are items to be dismantled or disconnected or parking is a sizeable distance from their house.
We reserve the right to amend a quoted price or fixed price on removal day if there have been significant increases in the amount of furniture, furnishings, boxes, bags etc that were quoted for on the original viewing/quotation day.
QUANTITY OF BOXES, SUITCASES, BLACK BAG ALLOWANCES.
As you can appreciate every house move is different. Everybody's house contents differ enormously from another's.
At Andy Vans Removals we have many years of experience in the quantity of boxes, bags, suitcases packaging required for the size of property to be moved.
Andy Vans Removals have given below the amount of boxes, bags, suitcases etc allowed and quoted for in the customers original job total price per size of property.
1 x Bed House / Appartment = Total of 20/25 approxiamatly
2 x Bed House/ Appartment = Total of 40/45 approxiamatly
3 x Bed House/ Appartment = Total of 60/65 approxiamatly
4 x Bed House = Total of 80/85 approxiamatly
START TIMES
Please note that quoted start / arrival times for all removals jobs are simply an estimate and are subsequently subject to change. Andy Vans Removals will not accept responsibility for any service delays; especially those caused by matters beyond our control. This includes extreme weather conditions, traffic levels road closures and other problems we have no control over.
All our removals are started at 08.00 hrs Mondays to Saturdays
Making a booking
Once we have viewed your property, made an itemised list of all furnishings and items to be moved, and you have provided us with an estimated / provisional moving date, then we shall give you a removal price as per viewing and as per box allowances as listed above.
Then, if the estimated move date is currently available and the price is agreed, a non refundable £50.00 deposit is required payable to us by bank transfer, this is to confirm that you are happy to go ahead with Andy Vans Removals Belper for your move and we will then allocate you your provisional chosen move date.
NOTE
A provisional move date is exactly what it is, a provisional booking.
It is a date that is offered to you the customer for a period of time but cannot be held open indefinitely.
If another customer has exchanged contracts and has a guaranteed completion date from their solicitors then the provisional removal date will be lost but you will be kept informed by us and offered alternative move dates.
Until the customer informs Andy Vans Removals Belper that they have a confirmed move date from their solicitor, and that the customer has exchanged contracts, Andy Vans Removals Belper cannot guarantee you your provisional booking
To confirm your booking and to be guaranteed your chosen move date you must have paid the £50.00 deposit and you must confirm with us by email or messaging that exchange of contracts have been completed and your legal team have issued you with a requested home completion date,
We urge you before paying the deposit to read and agree to our terms and conditions page on our website.
You will then be issued with a job reference number and provisional booking confirmation details. This then forms a contract between us.
Cash can be accepted but only by prior arrangement
This will be deducted from your final balance.
Your final balance is only payable upon the completion of your move and by bank transfer only.

DAMAGES
We cannot accept responsibility for any incidents, accidents or damages to belongings, or any instances of lost property which occur after the job has been completed and payment has been settled.
We accept no responsibility for damage caused to items as a result of poor or incorrect packing by the customer.
ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE CLAIMS
We carry and transfer thousands of items of furniture every year and whilst our vast experience of carrying, transporting, and the protection of furniture in transit is taken very seriously accidents do unfortunately and can happen.
We will pay up to £40.00 per single item claim and up to a limit of £200.00 maximum claim per move.
INSURANCE
Our goods in transit insurance covers the items we are moving up to the value of £10,000.
We are fully covered with Liability Insurance.
Please ensure you are adequately protected through your own house insurance or contents insurance for your move in the unlikely event you need to make a claim.
PARKING ARRANGEMENTS / LOADING UNLOADING
Customers who book our service have a responsibility to ensure there is somewhere adequate to park the van at both ends of the job in question. Should the van receive a parking ticket whilst working on your removals job, the customer shall be solely responsible for settling the fine. The height of our vehicle is 3.2 metres. Please let us know if this is an issue (low bridges, car park barriers etc).
Driveways.
If you are concerned that your driveway is unable to take the weight of our vehicles please advise us accordingly.
When you give us permission for us to drive onto your driveway it is on the understanding that this is at your own risk and would absolve us from any claim or compensation resulting from any damage whatsoever to the said driveway.
Moving Furniture With Goods / Clothes / Items not emptied.
It is the customers sole responsibility to make sure all drawers, chests wardrobes, ottomans are empty prior to removal day.
Furniture that is still packed and not empty becomes very heavy and effects the integrity of the furniture when being moved which could then result in damage to the said furniture.
Andy Vans Removals accepts no responsibility for any damaged furniture due to the item having not been emptied by the customer.
Lofts, Attics, Cellars.
We do not collect any furniture, furnishings, items of any nature from these spaces.
Should you have items you need to move to your new home from these spaces it is your sole responsibility to get them to ground level and make sure they are clean and vermin free.
DISMANTLING & REASSEMBLY OF FURNITURE
Customers need to ensure all furniture for example, metal beds, wooden beds, storage beds, lift up beds, divan beds, tables, triple wardrobes are dismantled and empty prior to our arrival.
If we arrive on removal day and have not been notified beforehand are asked to dismantle any item of furniture or find that dismantling the furniture is necessary during the move because of limited space or access there will be an additional charge see below.

NOTE
If a customer has dismantled a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers etc, before our arrival it is their sole responsibility to remove all screws, fixings, clips, dowels, locating pins etc from the furniture to prevent loss or to prevent potential damage
We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to furniture where fixings have been left attached to items and not properly bagged and itemised.
it is the customers sole responsibility to reassemble the furniture when it arrives at the destination unless previously negotiated with ourselves before hand otherwise additional charges will apply and are the same charges as dismantling.
It is the responsibility of the customer to keep all fixtures, fittings, bolts and screws for furniture in a safe and secure space. We accept no responsibility for lost fittings and fixtures.
NOTE.
It is the customers sole responsibility to make sure that all furniture and furnishings can be placed into their chosen rooms.
In the unlikely event that Andy Vans Removals cannot place any furniture into the customers chosen rooms then Andy Vans Removals will leave the said furniture on ground floor level.
All electric goods, example, disconnected from power sockets, Fridges and fridge freezers are to be emptied and defrosted at least 24 hrs before collection
Washing Machines emptied and all plumbing and water supply disconnected.
Electric cookers to be disconnected.
Gas cookers disconnected from gas supply inlets.
Wall mounted tv to be disconnected and removed from wall fixings.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CUSTOMER
It is the responsibility of the customer that all furniture will fit into the premises at the destination. We are not prepared or insured to remove doors, dismantle door frames, or, otherwise tamper with entrances to buildings. Customers need to ensure all walls, carpets woodwork etc is adequately protected before we undertake the removal of items.
We do not accept responsibility for damage or marks made to areas which are not properly protected.
DELAYS ON REMOVALS DAY
Delays which are deemed to be the fault of the customer, or the customers agents, or the customers legal teams, for example, not having all items packed, supplying the wrong address, waiting for the collection of keys when we arrive at your homes etc, may incur an extra charge to the final bill.
If Andy Vans Removals team have to wait for exchange of keys or entry into your new property when we arrive then the first hour is free.
All subsequent time waiting is charged at £60.00 per hour
£30.00 per 30 mins
£15.00 per 15 mins.
CANCELLATIONS BY ANDY VANS REMOVALS.
In the very highly and unlikely event,
Andy Vans Removals can alter, change, or cancel any prior /previously made bookings made with customers
Our cancellation with a customer would be made by Telephone call, Email, or Text Message, giving a brief indication as to why we would be cancelling the move.
SERVICE CANCELLATIONS BY CUSTOMERS
Cancellations or postponements of agreed removal date by a customer is subject to the following terms..
3 x days from the start date of the removal you agree to pay Andy Vans Removals 50% of the price of the work.
1 x day before or the day of the removal you agree to pay Andy Vans Removals 100% of the price of the work.
Abuse, rudeness, and violence towards any of our staff will not be tolerated.
Should our porters have to abort a job due to aggression or abuse, the customer will be charged 100% the full amount of the booking.

AGREEMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By agreeing to a quote, price, or provisional /estimated booking date from us, you accept that you have read and agree and will act to all our terms and conditions.
